What is the Hall of Fame?

VisitEngland has created the country’s ultimate Hall of Fame which celebrates what England has brought to the world and what makes the country such a diverse and fascinating place to visit and explore.

The Hall of Fame received almost 1,000 submissions from the public; from Harry Potter to Harry Styles, the mini skirt to the tuxedo, The Beatles to punk music, and Earl Grey tea to the Scotch Egg. An expert panel whittled these down to the top 18 which you can see displayed on this website. The public were also given a vote, The People’s Choice, which was awarded to Shakespeare.
